Support Groups

Newly Diagnosed HIV Support Group

Being newly diagnosed with HIV can be a scary experience. Although advancements in medical treatments have reduced the lethality of the diagnosis, navigating social dynamics can be challenging. The stigma of HIV has continued to be felt by those living with HIV. This support group focuses on discussing these challenges, sharing experiences and developing strategies to cope and understand how to best address the challenges of stigma in our work, families and communities. Meeting with other people going through the same experiences helps participants learn needed life skills that will help everyone live their best life.


The Newly Diagnosed Group meets the 3rd Monday of the month at 6pm in the Diversity Family Health group room at 1211 N. Shartel Ave., Suite 300, Oklahoma City, OK 73103. Gender Diverse Support Group

We know it can be lonely navigating the world as a gender diverse individual. this support group provides an affirming space for participants to understand identities, build relationships, a sense of community, and share medical and educational resources with one another. There will be opportunities for individuals to bring partners or significant others to group for additional support. We invite you to join our support group for gender diverse adults.

Coming Out

Support Group

Whether you’re still in the closet or have recently come out, the Coming Out Support Group is a safe, affirming place to share your thoughts and feelings about the coming out process. It is also a good place to build your support network, ask questions, and learn about resources that might benefit you as a gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender person. You don’t have to do this alone!

Living with HIV Support Group

HIV support groups are vital for many people living with HIV, providing them the means to share their experiences, seek advice and referrals, and receive support from others who fully understand what they are going through. Unlike those newly diagnosed with HIV, people who have had HIV for some time have different perspectives and issues related to their condition.


The Living with HIV Group meets the 4th Monday of the month at 6pm in the Diversity Family Health group room at 1211 N. Shartel Ave., Suite 300, Oklahoma City, OK 73103.
